The Forum is a practical activity aimed at promoting the transformation of industrial development models towards green, smart and sustainable practices; and at the same time, creating a platform for dialogue between state management agencies, experts, investors, and the business community to share experiences and propose solutions for developing eco-industrial parks, enhancing competitiveness, and attracting high-quality investment in the context of a rapidly evolving global economy driven by sustainable development principles.
The Forum brought together leaders from central agencies, VCCI, leaders of Dong Nai City, representatives from departments, sectors, localities, industrial park infrastructure developers, businesses, experts, scientists, and many domestic and foreign organizations and investors.
In his opening remarks at the Forum, Mr. Nguyen Kim Long, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai City, affirmed that green transformation, sustainable development, and emissions reduction are no longer just trends but have become essential requirements for industrial development. The development of eco-industrial and smart industrial parks not only aims to meet increasingly stringent environmental standards but also contributes to improving productivity, utilizing resources more efficiently, reducing production costs, increasing participation in global supply chains, and enhancing the competitiveness of businesses.
Dong Nai is committed to continuing to attract selective investment, prioritizing high-tech and clean technology projects, supporting industries, high-value-added sectors, efficient resource utilization, and environmental sustainability. Simultaneously, the province is gradually transforming existing industrial parks into eco-industrial parks, promoting industrial symbiosis, a circular economy, and green infrastructure development, aiming for sustainable growth and net-zero emissions target as committed by Vietnam.
Speaking on behalf of the Dong Nai Industrial parks and Economic Zones Authority (DNIEZA), Mr. Pham Viet Phuong, Deputy Head of the DNIEZA, noted that the green transformation process is profoundly changing the criteria for selecting investment destinations for multinational corporations. Requirements regarding ESG, carbon emission reduction, energy efficiency, and sustainable development are becoming key requirements for industrial parks if they want to remain competitive and integrated into global value chains and supply chains.
The leaders of the DNIEZA also emphasized that, in line with the Dong Nai City's development strategy according to Resolution No. 16-NQ/TW of the Politburo, the development of ecological and smart industrial parks will be an important foundation for transforming Dong Nai into a regional hub for high-tech industry, logistics, the aviation industry, and innovation in the region, while improving the quality of the investment environment and meeting investors' expectations in the new development phase.

Within the framework of the Forum, experts, scientists, and business representatives focused on focused on key issues, including: developing eco-smart industrial parks; improving policies and regulatory frameworks to promote green investment; applying digital technology in the management and operation of industrial parks; circular economy; industrial symbiosis; reducing greenhouse gas emissions; efficient use of energy and resources; as well as new criteria for FDI investors in selecting investment locations.
Participants agreed that, to continue attracting high-quality investment capital, Vietnam needs to build a transparent and stable investment environment, perfect the legal framework for the development of eco-industrial parks, and implement policies to support businesses in digital transformation, innovation, and compliance with ESG requirements. The green transformation process requires the collaboration of state management agencies, industrial park developers, and the business community to form a modern, efficient, and sustainable industrial ecosystem.
Speaking at the closing of the Forum, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai City, Mr. Nguyen Van Ut, affirmed the local determination to build a modern, a modern eco-industrial and smart industrial park system, aligned with green economic development, ensuring harmony between economic growth, environmental protection and social well-being. Dong Nai always welcomes investors that bring advanced technologies, modern management practices, and a strong commitment to sustainable development.
